ECHS in Comprehensive High Schools
Research has shown that the small, stand-alone model is effective, but we also know that there are limits to the number of students who can participate in such a model. As a result, people have been trying to apply lessons learned from the original early college model to comprehensive high schools. There have been five large-scale federally funded efforts to implement early college strategies in comprehensive high schools. This website summarizes key findings and results from four of these efforts; the fifth one (in Indiana) is just getting started.
